About The Hague

The Hague (officially ‘s-Gravenhage) is a fast growing city with nearly 550,000 inhabitants (2021). It is the 3rd largest city in the Netherlands after Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Although The Hague is not the constitutional capital of the country, it is the official seat of the royal family and the government. It is also the capital of the province of South Holland.

The Hague has many faces: international city of peace and justice, Royal residence, European city and multicultural hub. Most foreign embassies, Dutch ministries and the Supreme Court (Hoge Raad) are located in The Hague. As the International City of Peace and Justice, it plays host to a large number of international tribunals, including the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, as well as hundreds of international organisations, European agencies such as Europol and Eurojust, and NGOs. The Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI)

Have a stylish meeting in the heart of The Hague! The Royal Institute of Engineers is at walking distance from The Hague Central Station and is easily accessible by public transport or car. Across the building is a car park (Malieveld), so there is ample paid parking.

The hall adjoins our beautiful inner garden, which you can walk into when the weather is nice. After your meeting, you can walk straight into the adjoining spacious Foyer where you can have lunch, dinner or drinks if you wish. The Foyer has a unique glass tilt-up door, which also gives access to our beautiful courtyard garden.

In the Foyer, you can use the free wireless internet access. There is also a standard flipchart in the room that can be used free of charge. Upon request, you can use the LCD projector, sound system and/or laptop.
