REFUND POLICY – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

COVID-19 Notice

I understand that the event for which I purchase a ticket shall be presented in accordance with applicable public health requirements as of the date of such event; such requirements may include, without limitation, changes to capacity, attendance procedures, and other protective measures.

Attendee Promise & Health Acknowledgement

I agree to follow event policies (including health and safety policies) and posted instructions while at the event. According to the DGS, older adults and people of all ages with serious underlying medical conditions may be at higher risk of death or severe illness from COVID-19. I understand and agree that I will evaluate my risk in determining whether to attend the event. By entering the venue/event, I voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and confirm that I will adhere to local quarantine requirements and the DGS quarantine guidelines.

Event Refunds
With no specific reason it is not possible to cancel your registration and to receive a refund. Please send us an e-mail to for individual requests related to this topic. 

Recommendation – Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we recommend all participants to buy a COVID-19 Travel Insurance including refunds for travel interruption and cancellation.

Privacy Statement

When you register for an activity through this website, personal data are processed by European Young Engineers. EYE (hereinafter also referred to as “we” “us” or “our”) respects your privacy as a user of the website and treats your personal data with care. When processing personal data, EYE therefore acts in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and other relevant privacy legislation.

Purposes

The personal data you provide will be used by us:
– for participation in the EYE The Hague 2023 conference organised by EYE;
– for sending you information that is relevant for the participation in the EYE The Hague 2023 conference

Legal grounds

We process your personal data in order to fulfil the agreement you have with KIVI in connection with your registration for the conference. Otherwise, your personal data will only be processed if you have given your consent.

Rights
You have the right to obtain confirmation from us as to whether or not your personal data are being processed, as well as access to those personal data. You also have the right to have incorrect personal data rectified and completed. In addition, you can ask us to delete your personal data, you can oppose the processing of your personal data or stipulate restriction of the processing. Finally, you have the right to obtain the personal data you have provided to us – in certain situations – in a common and machine-readable form and to transfer it to another party. 

Retention period
We will retain your personal data for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes for collection, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

 

CONSENT AND LIABILITY WAIVER

Those registering for EYE The Hague 2023 conference must agree to the following statement:

I agree that I am undertaking participation in the EYE The Hague 2023 conference as my own free and intentional act. Once registered, I agree not to allow any other individual to participate in my place.

Travel, Visas, Health.

I understand that it is my responsibility to be aware of any travel restrictions, visa requirements or health issues that may affect my participation and affirm that, knowing these, I am able to participate in EYE The Hague 2023 conference.

Release of Liability.

I affirm that, while participating in EYE The Hague 2023 conference, I am responsible for my own well-being. I am aware there is a risk that I may experience possible serious personal injury or illness, economic loss, or property damage as a result of my participation in these events, such as from defects in facilities, equipment, or food, adverse weather, or accidents while travelling. In exchange for the privilege of participating, I assume all such risks arising out of my participation, and I also release, agree to indemnify, and hold harmless, European Young Engineers, and its volunteer members, president, vice presidents and assigns from all claims and lawsuits arising out of such injury, illness, or damage.

Photos and Recording.

European Young Engineers may photograph, record or film the interactions at its meetings and reproduce the resulting content in educational, news or promotional material, whether in print, electronic or other media, including the European Young Engineers website and social media. By participating in a meeting, I grant and assign to European Young Engineers the right to use this content for such purposes. All content so used becomes the property of European Young Engineers. European Young Engineers may hold workshops that are recorded and made available to the general public. In these cases, announcements will be made at the event.
